1. Origins
Origins Mod
Minecraft, the sandbox it is, lets you live out your fantasies. And whilst RP is possible in the base game, the Origins mod completely alters the way every new game playthrough works. Similar to other RPGs, Origins allows you to pick one specific race to play as, which actively changes your gameplay experience in a fundamental manner. There are 11 choices to choose from to make each world unique and challenging.
Here are some great examples:
- The Arachnid allows you to climb over any surface, which makes traversing infinitely simpler. As an Arachnid, you also apply cobwebs to enemies while fighting them. The downside is that you'll have 3 less hearts and are able to only eat meat products.
Another is the Merling, which completely changes the game. You can breathe underwater, swim and mine extremely fast and your vision becomes crystal clear in liquid. But here's the thing. It is impossible to breathe on the land. This means that if you want to travel on land, or underground, you'll need to carry a water bucket.
